Bob Walczak is a local South Jersey watercolor artist specializing in landscape topics. Bob has been painting in watercolors for over 12 years. He is primarily self-taught, except for a number of painting workshops that have had a profound influence on his art. He studied under well-known watercolors artists including Gary Spetz, a Montana artist known for his art instruction shows on PBS. Also, Bob attended numerous workshops with Nita Engle a world-renown impressionist watercolor artist, and Stephen Quiller, known for his inventive and award winning use of color. Bob graduated from The College of New Jersey and Drexel University for Engineering and Engineering Management, resp., so his day job is quite different from the art world. Bob loves to travel capturing unique scenes in photos, then creating impressions of these interesting places and scenes in watercolor paintings oftentimes creating a story, or a inspirational or spiritual message within the paintings. Bob loves the outdoors and is very active enjoying golf, hiking, bike riding, walking on the beach, and boating to name just a few. All of these activities provide so many opportunities especially at the shore, with the ocean, beach, bays, its wildlife, and the sky as some of his favorite topics.
